1/7 CoCoNa by Movic

Being a fan of Shunya Yamashita's artwork i couldn't hold back ordering this fantastic PVC figurines of CoCoNa. The size and detail is amazing, and the colours are so vibrant. I didn't actually think she would be that big but when you compare her to other figurines like Rudy and Non-Non she is a lot bigger in all aspects (sorry i didn't post a comparison photo).

About the detail of this figurine. Like i said it's fantastic. You can hardly see any seam lines (joints) anywhere on her body. The only 2 really noticeable seam lines are on her hair and above her underwear. These seam lines are pretty common on most figurines so it's not a problem at all.

The colouring is fantastic. There are almost no bleeds. The only noticeable bleeds (see in the skirt picture below) is on her belt around the skirt and a small amount on her leggings.

The design of her sword is nice. However it does suffer from very noticeable seam lines and some colour bleeding. This doesn't bother me as my attention is stuck on her face and of course her eyes (gosh the intensity of those eyes). XD

Kusanagi Mokoto by Vice

After a long wait Kusanagi Mokoto from Ghost in the Shell "Stand Alone Complex" has finally arrived!. I am very happy to see that the production figure is almost identical to the concept shots that have been shown to promote her. The colour and detail on this figure is very nice though i am disappointed with the base that was included (black base with S.A.C logo on it).

This figure is made out of PVC however feels hollow as you can actually squeeze parts of her body (ankles & thighs) and when i compare this with my other PVC figurines none of them do this. However that does not mean this isnt a quality product. As noted above the detail is great, the look and pose looks exactly like the anime series.

Shimei Ryomou Gothic Lolita v. 1/7 Statue arrives!!

Thats right and after such a long wait (3 months) she has finally arrived and what can i say about this figure. She is awesome! I love the detail, the sharpness of the colours and what a great pose! Orchid Seed have done it again and brought out a fantastic figurine of Shimei Ryomou from the series Ikki Tousen. As you can see with some of the close up pictures below there is hardly to no bleeding what so ever on this PVC figurine. Se was definitely worth the wait.

*** UPDATE ***
Sad news about this figurine.. she is prone to bending and very badly mind you. She tends to tip forward alot to the point where the pose looks like she is doing a move from a old Michael Jackson video and unfortunately there is no way to stop it. Its just the way she has been designed (top heavy). Even with this problem i still and happy with the purchase. I might have to put her back into her box for display. :(
